About Sean
My love of art began at a young age, and I’ve always been fascinated by composition and how a picture comes together. That interest eventually led me to study Illustration at Falmouth University, where I developed a loose, spontaneous style using pen, ink and watercolour.
After graduating, I worked on children’s books and private commissions before moving to Athens with my wife in 2013. In 2017, I joined a private school as an art teacher and graphic designer, where I still happily work today.
My own painting is inspired by skies, land and sea, along with anything else that catches my attention. I’m interested in light, texture and atmosphere, and in capturing the feeling of a place rather than reproducing it exactly.
